Physical Activity and Healthy Living

There are three factors related to physical activity and healthy living that should be considered:

  1. Inactivity - students are sedentary and have a lot of unstructured time.
  2. Health Care - Common and critical resources are underutilized by students immediately after high school.
  3. Safety - Students possess a sense of invincibility and regularly practice risky behaviors, such as driving without their seat belts.

Programs focus on:

  • Addressing at-risk behaviors
  • Getting outdoors and being active
  • Taking advantage of campus and community facilities
  • Stress relief and meditation
